many faces of Millie

Sorry if you are sick of people who just post pictures of their kids on their blog all of the time... if you are sick of it, to bad I guess. She is just getting to be so fun right now. She has discovered her hands and feet and is always waving them around. She loves to smile and is always so smiley right directly after her naps! she's just about 14 lbs. and around the 90% for weight :)

she's loves to Drool, blow bubbles and click her tounge, and make little talking noises

This one is for her uncle Andy, who is at Ohio State (Law School) he gave her these little onesies. We're having a ton of fun with her and of course think she is just the cutest best baby ever! We're so grateful to have her!

The coldest day

Today was the coldest day ever in memphis! okay, mabye not ever, but the coldest day for the past 6 years! The hight was about 25- but with the wind chill and humidity it sure felt colder. I went out to run and as the hairs in my nose started to freeze I thought of running out doors in Utah, where some days it never gets over 15! I also had fond memories of the winter I lived in london. I really have no idea what the temperatures were there, but I do know that was the coldest time of my life. The problem was only compounded in the fact that I'd have to walk about 3/4 mile to the train station to get to work, then another 1/2 mile from the station to work. Back in those days I hadn't really jumped on the coat bang wagon. I had a thin little pleather coat and I expected that to do the trick... ahh! I think because of those days I was permanately damaged. I think I contracted a disease called C.B.S. (cold body syndrome) Yes, this IS a real thing, and yes, I just might have it. I'm always cold. I will wear my boots and down coat around the house and still want to turn the heat up. I also want to mention that our house might be the draftiest house in this blasted town. The termostat tells me it's 70 degrees in our house, but there is seriously NO WAY! I'll invite you all to come test out the temperature to see for yourselves. Man, I'm just looking forward to some warmer weather.

Blessing

We blessed Millie over Christmas! We thought we'd wait to do it "at home" because Millie is the first Grandchild on my side, and also we'd be able to have a couple of Josh's siblings there. It was a really cool experience. I was proud of Josh for being able to bless her :)

I made Millies blessing dress when I was in High School (for a Laurel project) so even though it isn't the cutest dress you've seen, it was special. Also, my Grandma made Millie the white blanket that you see in the background, it was also very special to have that as part of her blessing!

These are a few of Millies cousins (5 are missing). It'll be so fun for her at family reunions because she'll have 4 other cousins her age! (3 girls 1 boy- 1 girl 4 months older and 3 others about 6 months younger- these three will be triplets, we're excited for them to come in a few months!!!)

Christmas

We got to go out to Utah (to my parents) for Christmas! We had a really fun time enjoying many family traditions as well as a VERY white christmas, and the company of many good friends. We made sure to endulge in some of the provo perks such as the BYU indoor track, Gandolfo's, Los Hermanos, Granny Bread etc. It was of course fun to have Millie meet all our family out in Utah!
I really enjoyed the christmas season this year, (but it still seemed to be so short like always) I think part of the reason was b/c I thought about it more b/c I wasn't busy with a "job" and I also think the anticipation of going home for the holidays made it fun, also it was fun to have Millie for christmas!

Of course traveling became a bit of a concern. We thought it was hillarious that we had so much luggage, so we took a picture. You can not see the back pack that Josh is wearing that could fit a small country! We each had 2 carry-on's plus Millie. We checked 6 bags (from top to bottom: Car seat, My bag, out to right is a box of grannie bread, Millie's bag, bag of christmas presents, Josh's bag.) Arg, I was so stressed out with so much stuff to lug around. We actually forgot one of our carry on's on a plane (an expensive electronic breast pump, ha ha) we didn't have time to go back and get it we were so worried, then all of a sudden the stewardis from our last flight shows up on our plane, out of breath, with the pump! A christmas miracle!

We flew with Delta. We love delta! We have enough sky miles that we can each check 3 bags for free. That was definitely a plus on this trip. We also have enough sky miles that we'll periodically get upgraded to First class. That happened on this trip! It made the trip sooo much better! We had way more room to maneuver little mille (who was so good on the flights by the way:)

This is Millie and Josh enjoying their first class seats. Thanks Delta!
It's hard to believe Christmas is over! almost 3 weeks later I'm still having a hard time taking down my decorations. I love the Christmas season and the spirit of Christmas. Can't wait till next year :)
